| The Secrets in Cleaning Waiting Rooms | ||||||||||||||
In cleaning waiting rooms, one must consider that kids are playing in this area and therefore, only mild cleaning agents should be used to avoid any possible irritation, allergic reaction and even poisoning. Furthermore, select cleaning agents that do not leave unpleasant smell. It is advisable to clean the area every day to prevent dirt, grimes and germs to accumulate. Clean the waiting area everyday. Arrange the toys in their shelves or corners when all the kids are gone. These toys have instructions on how to clean them. Some may require soaps and water or special cleansers to be used while some need to be dusted. Use general purpose cleanser or soap and water in cleaning the floor, walls, chairs and tables. You may use wet sponge to wipe off dirt’s and grimes and wipe it dry with a clean cloth. You may also dilute bleach or disinfectants to the water so that bacteria and germs would also be removed especially that kids can easily be infected with these micro organisms. Some kids really love to put their toys in their mouth, hence, ingesting the germs that may have been brought by the kid who played with the toys before him. Clean also the windows, mirrors, air conditioners and electric fans which accumulate dust. Wipe them with a wet sponge and dry also with a clean cloth. Do not let these surfaces dry by themselves or leave them without drying as they leave ugly water prints. Some kids would leave crayon marks, finger prints and even gums on the surfaces, tables, walls, under tables and almost everywhere where they could set their hands on. Soap and water may not be sufficient to remove these prints. Use isopropyl alcohol or solvent to erase crayon marks and finger prints. For gums that are stuck under the tables, you may use acetone which removes these gums effectively. Remember to wash these surfaces with soap and water in order to remove these solutions. In cleaning the floors and rubber floor mats, you may use vacuum cleaners to remove dust or you may mop the floor with cleansing solution everyday. You can also wash the mats at least once a week. Avoid applying floor wax to the floor to avoid slipping of the kids. Floor wax also gives unpleasant smells and particles of it may stick with the toys that touch the floor. It depends on you on what routine you will adopt to maintain the waiting room area. Kids will surely love to play on a clean and organized room with lots of fantastic wall panels. |
